Classic Duet Baby It’s Cold Outside Under Attack By Sexist Police

Baby It’s Cold Outside the tune baby boomers grew up listing to is under attack by the Sexist Police! It’s one of those duet’s I’ve grown accustomed to around Christmas holiday season. Now many radio stations are refusing to play it. 😥

From Wikipedia: “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” is a popular song written by Frank Loesser in 1944. It is a call and response duet in which a host, usually performed by a male voice, tries to convince a guest, usually performed by a female voice, that she should stay because the weather is cold and the trip home would be difficult. While the lyrics make no mention of any holiday, it is popularly regarded as a Christmas song due to its winter theme.

In 2015 Barnes & Noble used the lyrics to produce this commercial: Lady Gaga walks into a Barnes & Noble store bundled up in a green coat and green heels. She begins to hum a song as she walks through the store, looking through the books on an aisle. On the other side of the shelves is Tony Bennett, who is humming to the tune of, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” as he looks at the books on the shelves while he walks.

I can picture Barns & Noble in a frantic rush having any copies of their Baby It’s Cold Outside commercial removed by the YouTube police! 😆 Another version of this song from 1949 is here. Next liberals will be blaming it on President Donald J. Trump! 🙄
